309V - Backflow Preventer Type BA for vertical application

This Backflow Preventer was designed according to DIN EN 1717. 
According to this standard the water quality falls into 5 classes depending on the degree of contamination.
This assembly provides protection against non-potable water up to class of risk 4; the ones which may be protected through a device. The highest class of risk 5 has to be secured only through a free outlet. IMT Backflow Preventers work according to the reduced pressure zone principle, the three-chamber system, where the intermediate pressure zone, separated from the other two through a check valve, can be vented to the atmosphere.
This occurs automatically when the pressure drop between upstream and intermediate pressure zone reaches the value of 0,14 bar.

Designed for vertical application.
DVGW and KIWA certified.
For the periodical testing of the backflow preventer we supply three test cocks to be ordered separately.
Sealing clamp against manipulation available on demand (see picture).
The backflow preventer cartridge has an integrated filter to protect the device from dirt.
