The backflow preventer BA is produced in compliance with the European Norm EN 12729. It works according to the reduced pressure principle, where the intermediate pressure zone, separated from the other 2 through a check valve, can be vented to the atmosphere, which happens at latest when the differential pressure between upstream and intermediate pressure zone reaches the value of 0,14 bar.
